Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Services

Everyday Lives: Values in Action;

  • We value what is important to people with disabilities and their families, who are striving for an everyday life.
  • People with disabilities have a right to an everyday life; a life that is no different than that of all other citizens.

We offer a variety of services to give our clients the specific care they require. The services and care programs that are available through U-TURN Human Services, Inc. include:

  • In-Home & Community Support
  • Homemaker/Chore
  • Respite – Home Based
  • Companion Service

In-Home & Community Support

Our In-Home & Community Support Services are provided in-home and in-community settings to assist participants in acquiring, maintaining, and improving the skills necessary to live in the community, live more independently, and participate meaningfully in community life.

Trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide one-on-one care to support and encourage personal growth by helping participants set goals and learn the skills needed in their everyday lives. Our goal is to improve the overall quality of life for those we serve and their families.

Homemaker/Chore

Homemaker services include cleaning, meal preparation, laundry, and other general household care. Chore services consist of services needed to keep the home in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition.

Respite – Home Based

Respite is a temporary relief for live-in caregivers of individuals with special needs. Respite care offers a safe and reliable way for live-in caregivers to take a break from their usual daily care routine.

Companion Service

Companion services are direct services provided to participants who live in private homes for the limited purposes of providing supervision or assistance that is designed to ensure the participant’s health, safety and welfare and to perform incidental activities of daily living for the participant. This service is intended to assist the individual to participate more meaningfully in home and community life. This service may be provided in home and community settings, including the participant’s competitive employment workplace.
